Forces and moments on two-dimensional airfoil executing harmonic motions in pulsating stream are derived on basis of non-stationary incompressible potential flow theory, with inclusion of effect of continuous sheet of vortices shed from trailing edge; results expected to be useful in considerations of forced vibrations and flutter of rotary wing aircraft for which lifting surfaces are in air streams of variable velocity.
