It is shown that figures derived from certain equations satisfying theoretical conditions are surprisingly near results of tests carried out in United States, of which reports were published in Pub Roads June 1942, by O. K. NORMANN; there should be, at any crossing, accommodation for 30 cars side by side and on no account should crossings be narrowed by traffic islands without providing extra space.
