In view of increasing varieties of equipment operated by engine power takeoffs, it is desirable to have some method of estimating power requirements before purchasing truck; paper offers yardstick by which owners will be able to approximate transmission capability of driving auxiliary equipment; method is based on pitch line velocity of driving gear in transmission, and each step is explained and illustrated.
