Results of about 900 road tests dealing with curvature lead author to propose that highways be superelevated to counteract centrifugal force for speed of 3/4 assumed design speed; results to be expected are: aiding slow vehicles without penalizing faster traffic, safer driving in slippery weather, and greater uniformity of design.
