Two-way public address system of communications, installed in Railway Express terminal in Long Island City, is being used to facilitate handling of 90,000 to 120,000 packages of express per day; 42 loudspeaker-horns are located at various places throughout terminal and 25 hanging microphones are suspended from ceiling at strategic locations, enabling personnel to make reply to orders issued over public address system.
