Approximate analytical method is given for determination of free-light trajectory in atmosphere; formulas having satisfactory accuracy for practical applications are derived for velocity, altitude, horizontal range, and inclination angle of trajectory; results are compared with those obtained by numerical integration of motion equations, changes of air density with altitude being accounted for.
