Studies suggest that electromagnetic effects may become important in aerodynamics, especially if seeding is used to increase conductivity of air; possibilities of decelerating re-entry missiles, controlling skin friction and heat transfer in boundary layers, and accelerating or decelerating channel flows magneto-aerodynamically; some obstacles which may be encountered.
