Yield signs have been applied at previously uncontrolled intersections, to replace existing stop signs, to protect secondary through streets, in combination with stop signs at one intersection, to control all approaches to intersection (four-way yield), for traffic circle control, ramp control on expressways, and for minor movement control within complex intersection; recommendations as to validity and value of each of applications.
