It is shown that gravity gradient field referred to orbiting satellite is dissymmetrical around local instantaneous vertical; in eccentric orbit, periodic forcing function at Schuler frequency is applied to vehicle; latter is supposed to have at least 2 unequal axes of inertia; accordingly, vehicle will oscillate at Schuler frequency of forcing function, natural frequency within orbital plane, and natural frequency perpendicularly to orbital plane; attitude prediction computer suggested should provide information on future attitude deviation during flight history of vehicle.
