Phenomena, design concepts, and design problems related to emergency repressurization systems for 2 large-space simulation chambers designed to test Apollo vehicle and to train astronauts; repressurization systems protect astronauts from effects of sudden loss of space suit pressure and of breathing oxygen while chambers are under high vacuum; engineering problems encountered involving thermodynamics, transient heat transfer, high velocity gas flow, and acoustics; analyses and calculations indicate that present system design eliminated problems.
