Heat balance was established between metabolic heat generated by suited subject and heat transferred to his environment in space chamber at Republic Aviation Corp; mass flow rates of constituents of ventilation stream into and out of suit were calculated from partial pressure data monitored by mass spectrometer; suited subjects, biomedically instrumented, performed work on bicycle ergometer at simulated altitude of 35,000 ft; results obtained are summarized.
