Reference is made to investigations into traffic made in Sunderland over period of 12 mo; based on findings, proposition is made to use 94-seater double-decker, lower saloon 43 seats, upper saloon 51 seats, operating lower saloon only as oneman bus during day, but introducing second man for full double-deck operation at peak periods; effects of proposals made are shown comparing present and proposed system.
