New development consists of quay-wall for entire length, placed far enough out from present shore to allow ample trackage; at appropriate intervals there are piers, 2300 ft. and 425 ft. wide, extending into river; there will be minimum draft of 40 ft. at low water along entire works and out into river proper until it intersects natural deep water; neutral tracks will be laid in existing yard at northern end of Quebec Bridge, where various railway companies will deliver their cars.
