Ships are all 370 ft. long by 51 ft. beam, block coefficient being 0. 7623; trials were carried out over Skelmorlie Mile with ships in loaded condition; Blairmore has ordinary stern frame and rudder; Blairspey and Blairnevis have rudders of type developed by Wm. Denny and Bros.; comparison of power curves for Blairmore and Blairspey shows decided improvement as result of modifications.
