Among notable engineering features of new highway between New York and Philadelphia, are methods employed on route for eliminating level crossings, both of railways and roads, in order to maintain uninterrupted cross traffic; most interesting example being Woodbridge crossing in New Jersey, designed to deal with both merging and crossing lines of cars in manner that would ensure maintaining both routes at full capacity.
