Discussion of possibilities of mutual recognition of airworthiness certificates by United States and Great Britain; genesis of airworthiness; standard of airworthiness of American civil aircraft, their system of calculating stresses, and organization for inspection in course of construction has been in all essentials as high as Great Britain's; opposition to mutual recognition raised by aircraft industry from both sides of Atlantic; remedy for situation.
