Suggestions for improving efficiency of wheel-type undercarriage are given; rigid undercarriage structures; reduction of parasitic structure, especially that lying within airscrew disk; cleaner structure; improved strut connections at their points of juncture with body and wings; advantages to be gained from use of rigid structure, employing some form of internally sprung wheel.
