Built in 1921 as turbine-driven steam tanker and named Tuxpanoil; converted in 1929 and entered service of Oil Transport Co as Herman Falk; purchased in 1930 by Cities Service Transportation Co; length 431 ft; breadth 59 ft; depth 34 ft; propelled by two Falk Diesel engines of 1325 hp each, connected to original propeller shaft through Falk reduction gears which, at engine speed of 275 rpm, drive propeller at 90 rpm.
