Second largest tanker on Great Lakes has capacity of 2,000,000 gal.; length overall, 390 ft. 5 m.; displacement, 8885 tons; main propelling machinery consists of one vertical, triple-expansion steam engine having cylinders 23 1/2, 38 and 63 in. in diameter with stroke of 42 in.; steam is furnished at working pressure of 180 lb. per sq. in. by two-single-ended Scotch marine boilers, each 15 ft. 4 1/2 in. in diameter and 11 ft. 6 in. long inside of heads; auxiliaries; results of trial trip.
