Sentinel-Cammell steam rail cars comprise driving compartment (containing boiler, engine, tanks and bunkers) and passenger compartment with seating for 59, and with small section partitioned off for driver when vehicle is operated in reverse direction; power unit consists of standard Super-Sentinel vertical, 2-cylinder, double-acting engine driving by means of chains to second axle; boiler is of water-tube type, of working pressure of 275 lb.; dual controls; interior fittings.
