Results of investigation to determine fatigue properties of chromium molybdenum steel in unnitrided and nitrided conditions, using solid specimens and hollow specimens with oil holes, under stress conditions of reversed bending or various combinations of reversed bending and torsion; nitriding treatments chosen were 10 hr, 22 hr, or 72 hr at 485 C.
