Under structural loading conditions of transonic Mach number flight, stringer panel type of wing construction and multicell construction were examined to determine conditions under which each indicated efficient structural applications; stringer panel wings appear to have wide range of efficient application; only in range of extremely high loadings and small thickness ratios does multicell construction indicate efficient applications.
