It is noted that main problem requiring solution is to determine laws according to which certain parameters change with time, in such way that ship is at every instant in static equilibrium, but, taking into consideration Smith effect as well; nonstationary coordinate system, rigidly attached to ship, origin of which is at ship's center of gravity, and stationary coordinate system with which nonstationary system coincides at initial instant are used for determination of ship's position; it is assumed that distribution of pressures follows laws of Gerstner's theory of trochoidal waves.
