Trafficability of organic terrain is regarded as changeable concept, which will vary as off-road vehicles become more sophisticated and efficient; trafficability of terrain is dependent upon certain variables which must be quantitatively assessed -- bearing capacity, moisture content and terrain roughness; degree of humification of peat is also important factor in ability of terrain to withstand traffic and should be assessed quantitatively.
