Economics of various types of orbital booster, ranging from completely expendable to completely recoverable vehicles is introduced; basis for comparison of each different type of vehicle is presented and fundamental concepts involved in such comparison, defined as COP (Comparison and Optimization Process), are explained; possible uses of future generation space launch vehicles are put forward, and effects of operational perturbations on economics of vehicles of aerospace transporter type are examined.
