Study to estimate true liability of highway itself as "culprit" in automobile accidents, and to assess mobile accidents and proportionate share of liability that individual physical highway characteristics should bear; study area selected for analysis consisted of entire rural state highway system of State of Oklahoma; study was concerned with accident occurrence over rural sections of highways where average speeds are nearly 50 mph; all accidents were weighted equally regardless of actual severity.
