Engine is of 4-6-2 type, wheel arrangement resembling that of steam locomotive of Pacific type; total weight is 100 tons; motors are carried by brackets attached to main frames and are wound for pressure of 750 volts; Winterthur universal drive adopted, which gives relatively high center of gravity and good longitudinal and transverse balance.
