Debrisladen space through which man must travel comprises particle sizes ranging from fundamental (electron, proton, etc) to that of large comet head; evaluation of hazard of particulate matter is attempted, based on scientific data and analyses; scientific observation indicates definite spatial variation due to proximity of planet; space-density calculations for regions in proximity of moon and Mars show no radical concentrations indicating that hazards exist only in perturbations from "normal" environment due to clouds and/or streams; hazard probability from Poisson statistical standpoint should possibly be based on 2 or more impacts.
