Although there is at present excess of casinghead gasoline which makes production of light fuels at low cost possible, production of them would mean that only that amount of light material recovered from crude being handled would be available for blending to lighter fuel; as most refineries produce gasoline that is blend of these two materials, increase in cost borne by consumer is 29%.
