A measuring device referred to the class of interference goniometers, wherein the source of radiation is a laser, and the  receiving unit is a new optical mixer, protected by the RF patent, has been reviewed. A schematic diagram of the  interference goniometer based on the given optical mixer is shown. The possible measurement techniques applicable to  the new device are presented. A schematic diagram of the receiving unit is presented, its design features and distinctive  features are explained, formulas are given for calculating geometric parameters, and the geometric path of the rays is  shown. The key advantages of the new device have been reviewed, such as increasing the accuracy of measurements,  reducing the dimensions and weight of the device, simplifying the hardware scheme for processing results, reducing the cost of the product through simplified design and cutting costs of assembling, alignment and control of the device. Brief  recommendations are given for the developers of this type of equipment in the use and design solution of the most efficient  options for constructing interference goniometers.
