The present work concerns the space discretion of the free-surface potential flow computation based boundary element method. A series of systematically sensitivity studies on the number of panels and distribution on the body and on the free surface have been performed in order to find the optimum panelization in terms of accuracy and computational time. Finally, some recommendations based on the sensitivity studies will be outlined.
