The main conclusion from this study is that individuals with impairments, especially movement and vision impairments, travel less frequently, and have more days without journeys than individuals without impairments. It also appears as if individuals with vision impairments are able to compensate for their impairments until they grow older. With regards to accessibility, the built environment and mobility tools, the most prominent finding is that individuals with different impairments respond to the relative accessibility of a certain mode in different ways. Both movement and vision impaired individuals use walking and cycling more if they live in an area with relatively good walking and cycling accessibility. This translates into central locations with several destinations close-by. Respondents with vision impairments are more likely to use public transport if the live in an area with relatively high public transport accessibility, respondents with movement impairments do not respond to the relative public transport accessibility.
