The use of robots in television and movies is becoming commonplace. However, the use of robots requires knowledge of robot programming languages, robots can be difficult to transport and are relatively expensive. The thesis was a theoretical and design exercise to create drawings from which a prototype model can be created. The idea was to create a camera movement tool that is easy to use, compact, easy to transport, lightweight modular system that can be controlled remotely, be used in many situations and, work from a direct current or actuating current power supply. The use of brushless direct current motors (Bldc motor) was investigated as a way of providing movement, combined with remote connectivity for control via an android Bluetooth device. The designs stress and deformation testing for creating this prototype pan and tilt module, plus an additional vacuum system for attachment to a vehicle body was created in SolidWorks. The necessary drawings and a list of materials are now available for the creation of a prototype that will undoubtedly lead to greater developments in the system.
