How to evacuate large untrained persons from passengers ship during emergency situations is an urgent topic that needs to be addressed. This paper focuses on the effect of the ship's careening on persons' evacuating speed. Based on the evacuation theory of buildings on land, Dynamic Theory was used to analyze person's movement behavior on the careening ship and deduce the evacuation speed model. Finally, simulation analysis was performed by using the speed model built above. The simulation results show the influence of the door's width and ship's careening angle on the evacuation time.
