With the rapid advancement of Internet of Vehicles (IoV), vehicles are embedded everywhere in the transportation system as ubiquitous things connected based on the V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication technology. Risk, cybersecurity, and privacy are major challenges for such a development. Much research has focused on safety, efficiency, and mobility applications in V2X communication. Protection of integrity, authenticity, and tamper-proofing of V2X communication messages is carried out in trust model of credential management system. This system defines legal, policy, and technical requirements for the management of public key certificates for V2X communication applications.
