With the driving environments become worse, more aggressive driver behavior appears to bring challenges to traffic safety. There are very few systematic studies in China. The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlations between driver behavior and traffic accidents. Factor analysis was used to extract common factors of the driver behavior questionnaire (DBQ) and driver anger indicator scales (DAIS). The data were collected from 761 drivers from three districts in China. The correlation among common factors, demographical information, and accidents were analyzed as well as the differences among regional factors in DBQ and DAIS. The results show that there are significant correlations among factors of DBQ and DAIS. The aggressive driver behavior will cause accidents easily, and the deficient driver behavior may also lead to accidents potentially. Drivers from the South-Central area in China make the highest frequency of aggressive driver behavior, followed by North China, and East China.
