In this paper, we present an intelligent system of passenger transportation capacity requirements analysis, with aim tailored to provide characteristic analysis service and dynamic prediction of potential passenger transportation capacity requirements in the 16th Asian Games and other major international events. A dynamic adaptive prediction model is constructed based on multi-dimensional characteristic matching algorithms. A practical passenger transportation capacity requirements analysis framework is developed in this system, based on the real world data source from the passenger transportation administrative department. In the meanwhile, prediction errors could be able to feedback to fine tune the application process of the prediction methods. To illustrate and validate the feasibility of the system, a typical process of passenger transportation capacity requirements analysis and prediction is presented. Results show that the system can pinpoint the bottleneck of the passenger transportation capacity deployment and identify the patterns and trends of passenger transportation capacity requirements.
