How to evaluate the safety of the Yangtze River shipping is one of the most important problems that has puzzled the management department of the Yangtze River's shipping, and it is effective and feasible by using the index to solve this problem. In this paper, based on the theory of Bayesian network and by the path of analyzing the accidents and dangerous cases from Wuhan Section of Changjiang Maritime Safety Administration, the probability distribution of nodes was computed from sampling data by the maximum a posteriori estimate with GeNIe software, the safety index of crew evaluation of shipping safety was established, and the influence of each index of the crew was analyzed.
