A detailed description and analysis of the methods of travel time estimation based on the data collected by loop coil and floating car were made. The main factors influencing the accuracy of the abovementioned two methods were clearly defined, and the experiment was designed to make quantization analysis of these influencing factors. Based on this analysis, the applicable conditions of the two methods were discussed. The influencing factors were grouped and classified, the weighting fusion method was applied to the two results of the abovementioned estimations, and the distribution principle for optimal weighted value was analyzed. At last, the abovementioned fusion method was verified by the experimental data. The result was encouraging.
