This paper describes the restricted area of automobile tail number in urban areas to define the restricted area of automobile tail number in mountainous cities. We relied on the large amount of traffic data of the main urban area and used multi-source data fusion to take the average running speed of road network, peak traffic index, congestion mileage, reduction of traffic flow, and difficulty of implementation as evaluation indexes,. The evaluation model quantifies the implementation effect of regional traffic restriction, bridge traffic restriction, and tunnel traffic restriction. It is verified by an example in the Chongqing main urban area. The results show that under the same restriction intensity, the overall effect of bridge traffic restriction is better than tunnel traffic restriction and regional traffic restriction, making it much more practical.
