Train, as a main means of rail transport, not only high speed and high security are required, but high comfort is also considered to be an important index to evaluate train operating quality. The ride comfort plays an important role in the vehicle design as well as in vehicle judgment. So far, there have been many studies on methods for evaluating ride comfort in railway vehicle at home and abroad. Most of the evaluation methods, however, recommend different evaluation methods and criteria. This paper aims to study the relationships between various ride comfort evaluation indices, by virtue of BP neural network and MATLAB software to acquire the relations between the ride comfort indices. The result of this study can convert one index to another immediately. And when raw data are not available or are missing and the ride comfort is evaluated in terms of one method, we can quickly acquire the evaluation result in terms of the ride comfort index needed.
