Non-motorized travel is the vulnerable group of urban traffic. The connotation of non-motorized travel space-time continuity is discussed. The space-time discontinuity of non-motorized travel is analyzed. The continuity has impact on traffic safety. From planning, design, management and control views along with how to improve space-time continuity level of non-motorized travel is discussed. Then the evaluation method of space-time continuity is discussed. The results show that the higher space-time continuity level of non-motorized travel will effectively improve the travel safety of non-motorized travel.
