Using the trip behavior data of residents of Zhongshan, this study collects basic trip data of various regions in 2014 and uses correlation analysis to choose influence factors that are closely related to the mode choice of a residents’ trip. Utility function are constructed by using the difference values between transit trip mode and private trip mode. Income, trip purpose, trip distance, trip time ratio and trip cost ratio are considered influence factors. Using a probit model and statistical analysis software STATA, the model was calibrated and verified and the influences of trip cost and trip time on the mode choice of resident trip is studied through sensitivity analysis.
