With the popularization of drop and pull transport's organization mode, more and more combination vehicles will be on highways in China. There are many accidents caused by trucks. Drop and pull transport demands higher speed and better reliability for vehicles than before. This paper analyzed the key factors influencing transportation process and put forward to use Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the safety of cargo's transportation on road. The experts rate the relative importance between factors in basic index layer and criterion layer, and then the weight of all factors in criterion layer to target layer can be calculated. The results showed that supervisors can evaluate the safety of loaded trailers according to the detailed information of transportation. Finally, this paper brought forward checking rules for different stages of cargo loading and transportation.
