Traffic ecosystem safety is an significant part of the national public safety, as important as the national defense security and the economic security. Traffic ecosystem safety and freshwater resources will be the two core elements of the urban survival and sustainable development in the future. Based on elaborating the connotation of the urban traffic ecosystem safety evaluation methods, the paper puts forward the framework of comprehensive evaluation methods to the urban traffic ecosystem safety based on the time and scope, impact. It selects the specific indicators preliminary in the framework and establishes the indicators set based on DPSIR. Proposing the method of calculating traffic ecosystem safety degree to measure the level of urban traffic ecosystem safety.
