This paper studies the capacity reliability of a road network served by advanced traveler information systems (ATIS). Link capacities are treated as continuous random variables and a capacity reliability index introduced by Chootinan et al. (2003) is used to describe system performance. The logit-based stochastic user equilibrium (SUE) is used to characterize the travelers' route choice behaviors under influence of traveler information. A simulation based procedure is provided for the estimation of network reliability under ATIS. Numerical results of a test network show that the proposed approach can provide some new insights for assessing the impacts of ATIS on system performance.
