The correct analysis of risk or safety of damaged ship is the premise to control correctly the damaged ship, and to design, optimize the survivability of ship. Based on the importance of risk assessment of damaged ship (RADS) and analysis of its assessment method, the assessing model of gray clustering theory (GLT) is established to predict the risk degree of the damaged ship which is still sailing. The model not only overcomes the shortcoming of subjective judgment by human beings, but also of other quantitative assessment methods. It makes the result of the risk assessment of damaged ship more reasonable and more credible, and has a wide application foreground.
