When there is trend for large passenger flow in a station, it may cause a shortage of transport capacity; the temporary “skip-stop” of the rear train can be implemented to relieve the operation pressure of this situation. This paper looks to solve the problem of stranded passengers in the station, by selecting the passenger waiting time, passenger travel time, and passenger transfer time as the consideration indicators, and the degree of station congestion as boundary constraint. This paper uses the mathematical description of the operation of urban rail transit to determine the train “skip-stop” plan. Taking Shanghai Metro Line 9 as an example, the OD data of passenger flow at a certain morning peak will be used to build a train stop plan. The results show that unscheduled temporary “skip-stop” measures can alleviate station passenger retention under the premise of ensuring passenger travel efficiency.
