Urban rail transportation reliefs traffic demand pressure and provides green transport choice to users. The study of urban rail transit passenger flow distribution plays an important role in the design and improvement process of rail transit network construction. This paper proposes a comprehensive impedance cost model, not only considering the various features of different links and stations, but also including the different impedance costs of the various types of passengers. Based on the proposed integrated impedance model, the method of successive average (MSA) is selected to calculate the passenger flow distribution on an urban rail network. Under the same network conditions, passenger flow is simulated by TransCAD platform. Two output results are compared and discussed. Finally, the passenger flow distribution scheme of heterogeneous passenger types is constructed by MSA model so that different travel choices can be studied.
