In order to reveal the influence rules of highway horizontal alignment on driver decision behavior on trajectory path under free flow traffic states, a driver directional control model for highway safety was put forward on the basis of the preview optimal curvature model, with introduction of the SK (S was arc length of a curve, K was curvature of the curve) horizontal alignment model. The simulation results show that when a car enters a curve, its path has a tendency to shift inward the curve, while its path tends to shift outward the curve as the car exits the curve. The radius of horizontal curve and the length of spiral transition curve have significant impacts on driver decision behavior on trajectory path, the larger the radius of horizontal curve is, the smaller lateral deviation of the car path, whereas the greater it will be, the longer the spiral transition curve length is, the smaller lateral deviation of the car path, whereas the greater it will be.
